England - Yorkshire to Peak District

More history awaited us as we drove from Repton to Duffield Castle. There is not much left of this ancient Norman castle that was occupied in turn by Celts, Romans then Saxons. You can see evidence of the Castle Keep and its walls that are more than 4 metres thick.
